Knife is made by Deejo from France and gifted to me for Father's day by my middle daughter, good kid ;) and in the background is a photo I took of one of our grandson's that is Carter, from a troubled birth at the hospital he ended up with cererbral palsy due to the nurse's incompetence, tragic day, he's 16 years old now! still can not walk or talk but he's a good kid and of course we love him!

I made the little stand from walnut, using an 1/8" chisel I carved in the slot for the knife to rest as you see it there.

Designed in France, made in Asia. They have a wise marketing strategy, including commercials. Not really traditional either. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks, I wondered about that myself, so more of a keepsake for me due to my daughter trying to find something knifewise for me, of course I keep telling them to not attempt that, but there's no stopping them ;)

Not to draw this out any longer, but while it is a 'different' kind of knife, it's relegated to desk duty mainly letters, but it did take a decent edge but again just more for looks and sentiment than anything else...

I've always wondered how ram's horn holds up as a scale material. Looks great!
I have no experience in long time use of ram horn handles. My knife isn't a heavy user.
With the structure, the handle looks a bit fragile, like it would crumble to pieces. But I don't think it really would.

The only issue I have faced with horn in handles was when a knife handle got eaten by worms. I assume the maker didi not use enough chemicals on/in it or something similar
