Traditional French Fry day

You may be amused to learn that "©Laguiole Pakistan" has been registered by...Laguiole.
As you (probably don't) know, Pakistan is the first producer of Laguiole knives (in numbers). A lot are sold in France on local markets, fairs, etc.
All imports must (theoretically) show the origin, so any Lags with an origin that is not "France" will be counterfeit (please call me if you see one stamped "Galapagos" 😉 ).

I still chuckle when I look at my laguiole that proudly proclaims its origin in Thiers.

And another one from "Brun à Laguiole", scales are made from "piquet d'Aubrac" wood from old fenceposts from Aubrac grasslands. The post used for this knife was made from chestnut.

That is some of the most impressive filework and 🐝 sculpting I've ever seen on a Laguiole 🤯

Le Thursday (but it's MY friday) with this neat modernized "Le Thiers" pattern by Lierande😁

How do you like the back lock on it? I'm mulling over the carbon version.

As promised I will share some pictures of my road trip with you!

This morning making coffee, in the woods just below the « Puy de Montoncel ».

On my way back into the valley I was blocked by a timber rig loading logs 😆

This could have been a hazardous encounter, there are regularly Spanish lumberjacks coming to devastate our forests illegaly. Here one who's been caught in the act and on trial who had cut down and stolen 350 trees.
