That is some of the most impressive filework andAnd another one from "Brun à Laguiole", scales are made from "piquet d'Aubrac" wood from old fenceposts from Aubrac grasslands. The post used for this knife was made from chestnut.

Interesting. You may be amused to learn that "©Laguiole Pakistan" has been registered by...Laguiole.
As you (probably don't) know, Pakistan is the first producer of Laguiole knives (in numbers). A lot are sold in France on local markets, fairs, etc.
All imports must (theoretically) show the origin, so any Lags with an origin that is not "France" will be counterfeit (please call me if you see one stamped "Galapagos").

How do you like the back lock on it? I'm mulling over the carbon version. That is some of the most impressive filework andsculpting I've ever seen on a Laguiole

It locks up solid with a bit of side-to-side play, and like most French knives it will smack the edge if you let it snap closed...but overall I really like it!How do you like the back lock on it? I'm mulling over the carbon version.
Impressive giant! Really like the central band effect and the working on the metal, creates a very effective aesthetic. It also involves considerable skill I'd say.Another 13 cm Laguiole, this one from the "Coutellerie Glandières - Pagès" in Laguiole. The knife was made by Serge Cécon, Robert Cécon's son.

This could have been a hazardous encounter, there are regularly Spanish lumberjacks coming to devastate our forests illegaly. Here one who's been caught in the act and on trial who had cut down and stolen 350 trees. As promised I will share some pictures of my road trip with you!
This morning making coffee, in the woods just below the « Puy de Montoncel ».
On my way back into the valley I was blocked by a timber rig loading logs
