traditional knives in movies

Started watching X-Files season 1 and towards the end of the season in episode "darkness falls" Scully uses Buck 110 to cut down cocoon -like thing form a tree. Sorry no pictures this time though. :/

Loving the 90's vibe though. :)

I don't remember this at all! Better watch them again. I know I watched X-Files until Mulder got killed. I thought, you know, he'll be back in a week or two as his alien orphan identical twin or something. I thought I'd had enough at that point.
I believe I saw a Buck 110 used in "The Shadow Riders" set in post Civil War 1865? Either that or a facsimile which didn't exist in those days.
The one Katharine Ross slips to Tom Selleck's little brother? I must have been looking at Katharine Ross.

oh boy this thread is gonna be a huge distraction for me. still with the western theme. I was always impressed with how James Caan wore/stored his knife in El Dorado. on his back, between his shoulder blades

scroll to about 2:19 but the whole scene is enjoyable
Great scene, I was relieved to see he retrieved the knife! :D
