What about Bob?

Any updates on the new shield ?
Hey JaxBaron! Thank you for the reminder. So the adhesive had cured but on day two it still felt very rubbery. So now it's almost been a week and it's better. Still feels a bit rubbery though. I'm worried that when I go to sand it, it won't sand down very well. Gonna give it a try this afternoon and will post pics on how it goes.

I peeled the tape off and the re-taped up the bolsters. Had to sand down the whole thing to smooth out the low spots. Used 1000 grit wet dry sandpaper for this.

After a quick polish with my drill it was all done. Used the white compound with a buffing wheel. 2018-04-20_03-24-55.jpg It sure isn't perfect and still a tiny proud on the bottom section but I really like the results I got. I'll see how it holds up and if I still like it a month from now. Till then, Bob's gonna hang with me and cut stuff!
