What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Fixall Fixall that Damascus blade looks real nice with Bog Oak  I keep procrastinating about having somebody recover one of my 77 Barlow in Bog Oak, one day

It's such a cool material. I have a few blocks here and am just waiting for the right project to come along. A 77 would look great with it!!

I also have some stabilized swamp kauri I'd like to do something fun with. :)

Well it took awhile, but it's here. :D

A Boker Solingen barlow featuring bog oak covers and stainless (heck yes) damascus in the "Ripple" pattern, forged by Chad Nichols! One of five hundred made. They really went all out on this one!
Well, the good news is, after rereading your post and looking at those pictures maybe a dozen times, I ordered one. It should be here early next week. 👍😄👍
The bad news is, my wife says I can’t talk to you anymore!
😂😂😂

This one showed up in today’s mail. I am impressed! I don’t believe this will be my last Boker Barlow.
