I carried a Centurion from the time they first sold for almost 30 years. Wore the blade down pretty thin from heavy daily use (I flogged that poor thing) and lots of resharpening but managed to find a new one (NOS) after they discontinued them. Great knife and tool. Still wear it on my belt in a sheath. Though I no longer am able to work I still carry a Tinker in a pocket. I like having the tweezers and toothpick.

Rescued this Compact recently from what appeared to be a life time of neglect. Tools looked nearly unused but the severe lack of proper maintenance made them all very difficult to open. One half hour of cleaning, oiling and sharpening brought it back to functioning like new. Happy to have it in my RFP today.

I appreciate that you would rescue a knife. It looks great.

Carrying the "Cadet X" that I modded from a cadet and donor scissors, thought I would try a different direction on the scissors on the Cadet X. Now if Victorinox would only make a production Cadet X.....

Thanks, it was my pleasure. The Compact is a great EDC and now with an occasional oiling / cleaning that one should be good for a lifetime.

Got a Bantam in the mail.. First 1 layer.. Gave a quick swipe on the sharpener and into the watch pocket it rides.. Serrated Spartan in the rfp also today..
