The micarta is attached with epoxy and I got the scales from remade knives. He carries them from time to time, but you have to finish the scales yourself (it's not that hard but a dremel and mask helps a lot).

Thanks for the info, your micarta looks great! I haven't been able to contact remade knives at the usual addresses or thru a Bing search. If anyone knows of a functioning address for them please post a link.
