Did you prep the scales at all before burning ? This looks amazing !
I just flame it with a small torch, then I put minwax wood wax with stain in it on the bone while it’s hot. Then I buff the heck out of it with a cotton cloth. Easy peasy.Did you prep the scales at all before burning ? This looks amazing !

Sounds like a great place to be, away from the chaos.26 degrees again this morning. I guess it's time to get out the Winter jacket. My wife's been after me for a couple years to get rid of this & buy a new one, but it just got broken in as far as I'm concerned.

My wife, the dog, and I take about a two hour walk back the road every day, and if three cars pass us during that time, it's a busy day. I guess if the pot holes in the road have grass growing in them, you can pretty much consider yourself out in the sticks.

Agree on the coat … just getting broken in. BUT … that is not a pothole. In my neck of the woods, most potholes are a minimum depth of 6-8” … just big enough to ruin a tire and damage a rim!!26 degrees again this morning. I guess it's time to get out the Winter jacket. I used to think that I was training my dogs, but I've come to the conclusion that they were only humoring me, while they were actually training me to do what they want.I tie this tug toy onto an old trolling rod with 4 or 5 feet of baling twine for a real good workout. I get him running after it, keeping it just out of reach, then let him catch it to build his confidence. Then some tug 'o war to build those muscles and wear out my arms, repeat, repeat... til he gets on the edge of worn out. This way he's chill in the kitchen. Maybe a little nap, then it's time to do it all again.
