I took one of the smoothest working small wire jacks I had and cleaned it up and then put a real good edge on it. I’m going to carry it in the watch pocket of my jeans for a while. I know it won’t replace one of my larger knives, but you never know. 7547E5D7-C687-46A4-97B4-B48022984CA7.jpeg

My favorite knife. I bought my first one new in the mid ‘70’s. It’s Schrade, not Schrade Walden, but I carried and used it every day for decades. Don’t you love the satiny feel of that yellow delrin as it wears in?

I see you joined BF less than a week ago, so WELCOME, friend.

I bought this one in the 70's also. Seems like it cost me around $5. I'm pretty sure that I have carried this more than any other knife I own. Oh and thank you for the welcoming.

Today, I am accompanied by a Schrade 293Y Trapper, and a Camco Camp Knife that I took apart and recovered in buffalo horn.

There’s a traveling memorial, similar to the traveling version of The Wall ~ the memorial to those who died in the Vietnam War ~ for those who died in the Gulf Wars. Desert Storm, Desert Shield, and Operation Enduring Freedom. It’s about 60 miles from here, so we’re going to go see it later this morning. I will try to post a pic.
