I've been curious about that one myself.
My only experience with Buck's frame lock is the Chinese Apex. (No thanks).
Kershaw makes a decent frame lock.
I'm hoping Buck's USA made Budgie is at least as good.

C&C sent an email last Thursday that they had a few 101s. I like the 101 so ordered one, it's DOB is 11/20/17. They must have discovered some NOS somewhere. It came yesterday...

got some of the Larry bcci buying programs in. thank you Larry.

one of them is the 120 micarta pro.

came in giant magnet box and sleeve.....so big makes knife seem tiny.:)

looks and feels good. micarta on this one is very smooth on the sides of the handle but top and bottom part has a teeny bit of grip to it. call the sides polished and the top and bottom part polished but with some ultra light smooth texture. knife is very light weight. lighter than I thought.

standard sheath, no mention of made in usa on it. also no sticker for made in Mexico on the inside either, but im assuming mexico. due to lack of markings on it. . still all made in North America.:D all in all Buck did well on these.

Nice knife. I like the idea and looks of that magnetic box but it really adds to the shipping when they make the box so much bigger than it needs to be.

The 112 I won on the bay has a mirror polished Custom blade with brass frame and blond streaked Ebony..The gold etch on the blade is from the 35th anniversary of the Pro Rodeo finals in Las Vegas in 1993. It's really different from most years that had a pad print on the blade instead of a gold Arum etch like this one has. I've never seen one like it before. It should have came with a gold heat stamped shieth but I consider myself lucky just to get the knife. Since collecting rare,odd,1of1 112's since 2007 I don't get many changes to get one I have never seen..
