They must have switched from Plain Weave to 2x2 Twill Weave at some point. My 0562CF M390 is Serial# 0546 with Plain Weave.

I know on the 0770CF they also started out with Plain Weave but the recent 0770CFM4 had 2x2 Twill Weave.

Knives ship free exclusive is what I have in the 0770 M4 CF not sure what pattern it is but I love it !

Cool thanks for the info , I know when I got mine the standard CF 0770 had a different pattern . That's why I bought the KSF exclusive , that and the M4 blade which at the time was only on the KSF version 770 .
 
My ZT0562CF arrived yesterday and it it has plain weave carbon. S/N 2356. Seems like they're cutting out of either stock arbitrarily.
 
How grippy is the CF on the 0562 compared to the G10 version? I'm ordering one or the other this week... Don't care about the steel much, since both 204p and elmax will seem great to me. The only nice steels I have used would be vg10 and cpm s30v. Unless 204 is THAT much better then elmax, I could go either way.

It's all depends. For $40 more you get better steel and better scale material. It will be easier to resell later the 204p/CF version if that makes any difference. They're about the same for grip. Both textures are fairly smooth.

I've got the G10 Elmax and I've been very happy . I love CF and have it on a few of my knives but the G10 has a much better grip with the 0562 IMO .You can see the texture really well in this picture 👍🏻
 
Well, I just placed an order at National Knives LLC for a 0562cf. Can't wait :). Many pics will come when I receive it.

Props to National Knives (a blade forum official seller) for accepting PayPal and having a quick simple website and checkout process. Very happy. Also bought my paramilitary 2 from them last year.

My 0562CF, serial number #1704 in M390 has the carbon pattern like the bottom one. 2x2 twill.

Anyone notice any change in the price difference between the M390 and CTS?

Same price. ZT requires dealers to sell them for a set price.
 
Very very happy with my ZT 0620CF in CTS-204 . Really holds a edge nicely and what a great knife !
