THE Hollow Handle Knife Thread

THE FIRST I EVER SAW something(s) like that. But tell me, the handles are milled steel, not butchered from an actual 1911, right?
I used to make them out of factory rejects from Caspian. Now I make my own. It cuts down on the rework, that was considerable.

An ultralight B.U.S.H. Hunter I recently did. The knife itself weighed 4.7 oz. GunKote to protect the carbon steel, and fully sculpted guard complete the package.:cool:

Somehow, someway, for 33 years I totally missed the fact that Jack Crain made the hollow handle knife in the movie, Road House. What the heck?!?!

"As seen in the 1989 Patrick Swayze film "Road House". This combat/survival hollow handle double edge dagger was used in the scene with Sam Elliot and in the final scenes with Patrick Swayze.
The 5 3/4" blade is stainless steel with the hollow handle out of carbon steel parkerized black."

I look pretty regularly at various sites to see if any Newt Martin's pop up. Found this mint SURV9 and started on the bidding process, etc. While messing around, I stumbled upon this Wall Commando recreation.

Next thing you know, I'm hiding knives from the wife! Not sure if they'll get any time in the woods but they mix in with the display fairly well.
