It is not a survival knife Bro-I think we'll announce a limited not-a-survival-knife pre-order in today's EDC sale. We have a new machining center coming in today so I may be tied up, but if I get a chance to sit down and work out the pre-order details I'll try to do a limited pre-order today to accommodate you guys who are foaming at the mouth
 
It will be on this forum stickied at the top of the page as the other pre orders have been.


ETA: Tom, Nathan has not yet named the Survival Knife pattern so I believe he is calling it the "not-a-survival-knife" for now. At least that is how I'm reading it.

The usual suspects such as black and natural should be a sure bet Tommy. The choices for preorder lists are always less fanciful as compared to the Sales threads, but the fact that Nathan has graciously agreed to offer us a preorder opportunity will at least guarantee some of us one of the new pattern knives even if we fall short in the Fridays' sales threads and get trampled over by the faster keyboardslingers!

I'd rather not hassle with the fastest keyboard in the West if I don't have to, so I'll be in on the pre-order.
Just curious to what color of TeroTuf will be offered.:)
 
Black TeroTuf would be a dream come through for me but in the absence of such option, most likely with this knife in the spirit of it's creation, I'll be going with unbuffed black micarta just to have that extra grip factor if and when used under any and all possible conditions.

Unfortunately, I was on the road. Fortunately, I brought two iPads with me: One Verizon and the other AT&T (the cellular antenna on the iPad is more powerful than that of my phones). Pulled over, mistimed the refresh and still made the top ten.
 
With the pre-order list up to 72 so far (Saturday 4/29 at High Noonish PDT) does this mean that all the initially projected first 80 units (kind of like the 40/40 units even split Nathan was alluding to between Fridays and pre-orders), does this mean that those with fastest fingers waiting for those upcoming Fridays sales are now SOL :p

Just stirring the pot. You know who you are!
