A quest for my ideal Stockman

Mine is not gritty. Spring force is ok, I would prefer a bit stronger but it is sufficient.

No gaps between the springs.

Only 2 things I do not like about this knife. The clip blade does not open fare enough. I do not like that angle, it feels like the blade is partially closed.

And I do not like hollow ground blades. That is what Case does but my preference would be for flat grind.

Other than that it is a very nice knife.

Anyone who doesn't love a good Stockman pattern can't really be trusted!

I think that the Schrade Old Timer OT8 is about the ideal overall stockman that left a factory, but alas the "real" thing is no longer produced.

My ideal stockman would actually be a mutant offspring. I'd like to have a 4.5 in long stockman with the classic three blade, but with the addition of a long spear point alongside the main clip point. Kind of like the combination in the Victorinox Mauser.

Colonial used three springs, too.
