Any Winkler fans?

I would have never guessed that. View attachment 2843559
As I said, these are very convincing copies. Tapered tang, sheath, box, even the bits like the inspection card inside the box. You really have to know what you are looking at or you won't know the difference just going by website pictures.

The two telling differences are the leather the sheath is made from was tanned using some sort of process that smells like ammonia, and the wood handles are painted pakka wood.

One of my most favorite knives here and I think I could tell a fake with my eyes closed, just feel the fit and finish, balance, sheath texture.IMG_7305.jpegIMG_7305.jpeg

Thank You for this.

Reminder to purchase through the maker's site or an authorized dealer.

NOT Alibaba, Amazon, Ebay et al

I bought the same belt knife with leopardwood a few months back. Where it reads Winkler knives mine has the word limited added.
I would post a picture but BF finally got the pictures fixed and now my subscription lapsed. Lol

Don't know if this was shared previously, but here are two popular EDC models that may look similar on paper, but as you can see are pretty different in reality. For anyone debating between these two models, this might be helpful:

I liked Fonzie (Henry WINKLER). 😆 sorry, it’s the coffee talking.

I’d never heard of the Winkler brand. Great designs, really enjoy the pictures here.
