Beckerhead firearms

So that stock I ordered for my SKS that took forever to leave the warehouse shipped just before I sent the email asking to cancel the order. It arrived today and they told me to leave it sealed and just write return to sender on it but I figured since it was already here I might as well keep it. So I try to set my SKS action in it only to find out that the cross bolt in the stock is too far back to work with my rifle and I'll have to send it back anyway. Except now I might be on the hook for return shipping and a restocking fee.
 
so I found out that an AR is definitely a possibility in my near future....

I think I've decided on the M&P sport 2
 
Went shooting today. Took my Stevens 325, the Williams rear sight wouldn't zero to the rifle. It was hitting 6-8" high at 100 yards so I'm going to have to try a scope. And then my phone glitched and dumped the pics I had taken while I was out.
 
Just finished a little project, a case for my custom NEF 12ga compact made from leg from an worn out pair of jeans. I sewed up the cuff and ran a stitch down the leg to make separate pouches for each half. Left plenty of extra length to fold over and tie closed with a scrap piece of 550 cord that a sewed to the flap. The package is about 19" long.

Wanted to swap a 590 barrel onto my Mossberg 500 but the magazine tube I ordered is too short. I ordered all the right parts that should be compatible with each other so I don't know if Mossberg just made a mag tube too short or what. Trying to find out what the proper length of a 5-shot 590 mag tube is so I know for sure before I start raising a stink.
 
Did you already put up pics of the .308? If so I'm gonna have to go searching. Some of the various places have 800 buck VEPR 12's, and I'm awfully tempted.
 
You should jump on that Vepr 12. They're not gonna get any cheaper. DDI makes a 12 now that takes Saiga mags, I prefer the Verp's system though. They insert straight in and have a BHO like an AR.


Here it is after the conversion. Unfortunately I only have crap mags for it.

Crim pm me where your seeing a Vepr 12 for 800 bucks. I might have to buy one at that price. Everywhere I have found them in stock they have been 1100 or 1200. You liked yours right ? from what I have read a couple hundred bucks worth of upgrades and tune ups makes it damn near perfect.
 
I don't actually have a VEPR 12 yet. Just want one. Only shotgun I have is the Catamount Fury 2. But a VEPR 12 would be nice.
 
Atlantic firearms has VEPR 12's for $800 and DDI 12's for $600. Atlantic has a good reputation and they QC inspect their stuff so you can even buy a low-end AK like a WASR from them with confidence.
 
I have been keeping an eye for one of these, IWI Tavor. I have played with one and now would like to find one to keep under my pillow.:D

went by one of the local pawn ships yesterday, they had a chineese SKS in decent shape with a low power BSA scope in it for $380, was tempted but I'm not sure if it's a good price or not
 
So, I am thinking of buying a lever action for hunting. What do you guys think, .30-30 or .45-70?
