The biggest issue I have with that is that “middle ground” nuance that you wish for has been tugged and tugged and tugged so far left these days that it is no longer grey, but a light red reminiscent of socialism and communism.

The time for “meeting in the middle” is over. Gun owners have given up far too much and we’re done. No more compromise.
 
And folks still don't know the real reason behind the cutting up of guns by Benchmade? It's a snapshot of a picture and the internet goes crazy. Talk about a knee jerk reaction! I used to work out at our local Army depot and had an incinerator there that incinerated everything from nerve gas, chemical warheads, marijuana and yes, guns. THOUSANDS of guns. Guns confiscated by local PD for crimes and after the adjudication process, were incinerated to ash. To me, it was just a job. We incinerated everything that the government wanted us to incinerate, even guns. And I'm a pro 2A supporter.

Keep reading, they have been donating to antigun politicians for years, which directly contradicts their public announcement to save face.

The real problem that was brought to light last night was Benchmades support of anti 2A politicians. That’s a problem, for me at least.

Only a handful of people have an issue with Benchmade's destruction of guns. It's the donations to Anti-2A politicians that's the real issue.

Personally the gun cutting part doesn’t get me too bothered.

It’s the support of politicians who work to strip rights.

A line is drawn and I’m on the side of “not be infringed”.

People get worked up over it, as they should. It’s hard to gain back lost ground.

On a lighter note...this thread has been highly interesting to read!

The cutting up of guns made people dig into their political contributions which goes hand in hand with their cutting up the guns. They support politicians who crap on our constitution. Knowing what I know about you, you care just as much as I do I think.

Selling knives to a largely 2a supportive customer base and funding politicians who are actively working against us is ridiculous. I'm glad it came to light, people should know.
