Great stuff. The Porch generosity knows no bounds. 🩷 🩷 🩷 🥰👍👍👍🤠

Day two, in fruit service. Unfortunately the oranges are store bought (packed about 20 miles from my house) because my oranges are Valencia and they won’t be ready for another two months. The grapefruit is from a neighbor’s tree. Around here we deal with the inevitable fruit surplus by sharing with neighbors and friends at church. As a result I get fruit around the calendar - citrus, stone fruit, pomegranate, etc. I gave the owner of the grapefruit tree a jar of plum jam that I made from my plum tree.

Progressing nicely

Added static order link in FAQ section since people keep dismissing the notices and then ask how to restore them - https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/

UPDATE 12/6: GEC has shipped first two batches to me, expected to arrive here next week. Orders are now back open, if you don't see the announcement at the top go to your profile and reset notices

Pic of finished knife:

UPDATE 8/29 pt 2:
View attachment 2648974

We now have a render with handle material AND nail nicks for the people who demanded them (some of you are so unreasonable, psh not wanting to pinch the knife open). Shield design is not final.

Almost 200 knives sold.
Preorders will stay open until all are sold or the knives arrive, whichever comes first

UPDATE 8/29 - PREODERS ARE LIVE, SEE ANNOUNCEMENT AT THE TOP OF THE FORUMS.

If you accidentally closed the announcement, go to https://www.bladeforums.com/account/preferences and click "Restore dismissed notices"

edit - Well I'm friggin incompetent and 50 of you got your orders in for the knives when they were worded 2023 instead of 2024. That's too many to refund immediately so I am just going to cross my fingers and hope you guys understand that clicking on the announcement for the 2024 knife with it being 250 and a preorder is for the 2024 knife and not the 2023 version

We've gotten word back from Bill & crew at GEC about the 2024 Traditional Forum Knife

This is a RENDERING of the SHAPE of the knife. Handle material color, stamp, shield will be determined ASAP.

Thanks to inflation, my cost on these has increased by over 50%. I will eat as much of that as I can for preorders but we are looking at a substantial increase in price. Non-preorder pricing will be $300 ea or more.

Pre order pricing will be around $250, shipped to CONUS. International was a mess last year, we'll see how that plays out this year.

I will put pre order buttons up ASAP.
Are these still available for order ? When will they be complete or are they already ? Forgive my ignorance, I am not well versed in these matters.

People are funny aren't we? I personally think the light brown looks good and I wouldn't mind paying $250 or more for a great knife. This thing has only one failing by my reckoning and that's size. It is just too big for my taste! I have no need for a pocket hog stockman. I prefer the standard size. Best of luck all and enjoy!

I thought that, too, since I like the standard size stockman. But now that I have one of these it is quickly growing on me, and carrying it in a Horsewright buckaroo makes it so that I don't even notice it in my pocket.
