I've been following this thread for the last few weeks and have managed to avoid getting any of these new Bokers. I like Barlows, but I'm not overly fond of the clip point blades or the acid wash or the copper. So, of course, I went out and got one anyways. I know, I'm weak.
This was one of those knives that when I opened the package I said 'Oh wow!' out loud. What a beautiful knife!
And to all you previous posters, you are bunch despicable enablers and I love you for it.

You've joined the club, and your ticket in looks great! The copper grew on me the more I saw them, and I eventually ordered one on the sale. I've gotten a couple of comments at work already from people noticing the copper. I'm just looking forward to the patina!I've been following this thread for the last few weeks and have managed to avoid getting any of these new Bokers. Nice “start” Mark. Here's my new copper Barlow with the only other Boker Barlow I have. It's a Boker USA, not Solingen. I'm not sure where these were actually made.
