Carothers Performance Knives, Use & Abuse. Take 2

Jackass wasn’t my cup of tea back in the day. In no way am saying there aren’t things to learn from his destruction videos.

But what he does is like taking a Corvette 3LZ off roading and rock climbing then bashes it because it performs like shit. “But I want to know what it’s capable of” is not a reason to break a knife by throwing a stone at it and tell people it’s shit when it breaks. Slapping it against an iron rod and stabbing a car tells what exactly about cutting geometry?

He “finds problems” where none exist.

Never mistake a lack of talent for genius.
I would watch that too.

Had all my hair and no wrinkles when I started waiting for the skinner.

It’s a good idea to do a FB BFK run now (even though I’m in the “prefer SDFK” camp - that design is too awesome).

You’re already tooled up for it, so the timing really seems like “now or never”.

Also, people will be asking about this knife for who knows how long - better to do a run now and then point people in the right direction (secondary market) if they watch the video and want to buy one.

Maybe not ideal, but better than “Oh they never actually made this knife - keep asking, they might make it someday if we pester them enough” and never hearing the end of it.

p.s. in for a neck knife & Skinner please…

We will get this senseless abomination out of our system and never speak of it again.
Tread carefully my good man. "I just want a taste" can easily turn into a "six pack a day, plus a case on the weekends" kinda habit. This isn't just some silly fixation on pumpkin beer, we're talking about a shift into sharpened prybars 😱.
