Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Sufficient speed, acceptable drag.

A few recent acquisitions.

Recently started collecting whiskies (scotch & bourbon) beyond the few that I was always drinking because I was running out of knives (and guns) to buy. The collection has grown to 44 scotch/28 bourbon bottles in a very short time.

The Weller 12 and Michter's 10 are very hard to find in my area and are considered "grail" bourbons by many.

Bought the only bottles of these bourbons that I saw in my area for "too much" $ but still not more than the cost of many knives that I own. I haven't opened them yet but will as soon as I find another bottle of each so that I'll have a bottle in reserve.

The Hogue EX-F01 I bought off the Exchange w/the cocobolo scales on it, which are very pretty but impractical for serious use. So, bought the black G10 scales from Hogue to put on the knife instead.

Posted a previous pic in this thread w/the knife w/the cocobolo scales on it but I now think it looks better w/the G10s so thought it was worth posting this pic of them on the knife as well.

BIG THANKS to PVK Vegas in getting this to me after FedEx delivered the first knife to someone else and left me empty-handed.:thumbsup:

PVK service is top notch and will be having my future business from here on out :p

Coming soon, Spyderco Southward with carbon fiber scale.

Coming eventually, crossbreed minituck for my SIG P365SAS with lima laser, as well as a beltless iwb holster for my Steyr m9.

Also, the Viper Novis came last week. I had put it back in the box Friday because I was unhappy with the action and the rather sharp jimping on the lockbar.

Woke up, could not find my glasses. After looking all over the room and house. I started to have an anxiety attack. Grabbed the Novis out of its box, and determinedly flipped it.

I calmed down, and 3 things happened.

1. The action on the knife got much better, can flip without any wrist. Very smooth.

2. Upon closer inspection, I realized the lockbar can be disengaged without running into the serrated edge (lol).

3. Found my glasses, somehow inside a pillowcase.

Moral of the story:

I like fidgety knives as they help my anxiety, as well as being useful. Sometimes, you have to dick around with a knife before saying hell with it and sending it back. So, I'm keeping the Novis. Still wish it had a clip, but going to try the suspension clip I was recommended.

Also, put your glasses in a safe place when you go to sleep.

Just received a black MicroTech LUDT w/an Apocalyptic finished PE M390 blade (135-10AP) (with the lanyard attached!) that I recently bought off of the Exchange, which pairs nicely w/my black Stitch which has a blade w/the same type of steel & finish. :)
