It's a close call between the Farmer and Camper for me. I prefer the alox scales, in-line awl and more rugged blade, but the camper offers an even larger selection of tools similar sized package and has the tweezers and toothpick to boot. The Farmer is my favorite though. Camper usually gets carried whenever I think I might need a corkscrew. ;]
For EDC, I would have to say Tinker, but I EDC a Spartan, which is also very good. For the outdoors, it's a toss up between the Bundeswehr Mauser pattern knives and the Victorinox Camper.
I have around 400 Vic SAK's in my collection. I've carried a Huntsman for almost 50 years. I've worn two out and am working on doing that to a third. Great knife. Buy the way, I've cut a fair chunk of wood with the saw - never needed resharpening. Maybe that's why Vic makes saw blades for some famous other brands.
I have to say that the Victorinox Rambler is my favorite. Its basically a classic with a magnetic phillips screwdriver/bottle opener for a 4th blade. IMO the perfect front pocket knife.
Between the Soldier or Tinker. I like alox scale, feels much better, but I still love the tinker especially for the phillips screwdriver. I know that the can opener can also be used for phillips #2 but there are so many screws that can not be reached by his tool, and a longer screwdriver like in the tinker is needed.
Some of my favorites are the three layer models like the super tinker, hiker, and farmer. There the perfect size to carry[for me at least] and have the most used tools.Plus if you damage one it's$20 instead of $50-$60 for a swisschamp or leatherman.
