    Here's a "big boy". JD Ware large lock back with a 3.375" O1 blade (with French grey treatment). The frame is huge ... with bull horn covers and a shield made from a US silver quarter. Weighs in at a whopping 8 ounces.

    Was watching some reruns of Burn Notice and Sam was slicing an apple with what looks like a silver bolster Schrade LB8.
    Doubtful the knife is one of the show's props, I would think it's his personal knife.

    Found this ca. 30 years old Carl Schlieper in 440 stainless.
    The handle scales look like cocobolo, lockback and bolsters are very solid (no blade play or whobble).
    A beefy little knife, for size comparison my 4 1/4'' possum skinner.
