GEC #77 Medium Barlow Impressions

I noticed a big difference in the bone colors and saw patterns of my two reds. One from this recent run and a sheep from 2015. Not a problem, but just noticing how different they are.
The 2016 clip with steel bolsters are still my favorite run of 77s.

The saw cut on mine is irregular, has anyone sanded the saw cut smooth? I'm wondering how hard the bone is. I was thinking of using scotch bright and working down to progressively finer grit's then polish to avoid damage to pins. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

PM me, I'll walk you through it.

My 77 finally arrived today having traveled to Michigan, crossed the border, and then been posted to Kitchener, ON. Thank you, Mike Latham, for the 2nd chance opportunity to purchase the knife. This is my 1st GEC Barlow and my 1st GEC with Micarta covers.

My Blackwood Barlow has a little side-to-side wobble in the blade.

I have about a dozen other GEC builds and none of them are loose at all.

Is this something that can be adjusted or repaired?

Or should I just live with it?
