Go Large--The BF Big Folder Thread

So I was updating my wish list when I accidentally ruined part of my Christmas. It seems that at some point I added a 6" Cold Steel Holdout on my list and it appears that my wife has purchased it for me according to the prompt. Not really sure why I added it or if I thought it was a 3" version, but I will have to act surprised about a week and a half from now 😉

So to kinda "train" my pocket to carry such a beast, I have resorted to carrying a Voyager XL that I bought a couple of years ago. These things are ridiculous 😀.

Here's an pic of it next to a Tai Pan with an ink pen for scale.

That's 5.5" of blade folding 6" or so of handle. The Holdout is going to sport another half inch of blade and even more handle. In short, it's going to have a longer overall length than the Tai Pan, I think.

Now, that's not to say that the Voyager hasn't been useful. I certainly haven't run into any cutting that couldn't be handled, but I do get some looks at work when I use this monster to open my mail. I'm actually getting a little excited about the Hold Out.

The largest folding knife I have ever bought? A Camills "Cuda Maxx". This has a 5-1/2-inch doble edged stiletto looking dagger blade in D2, that folds into a Titanium frame locked handle. Flipper deploys without conscious thought.

Gave it to our son when he went to Iraq in 2004.

Chip,
Looks too sweet to pass up.
They were out of the satin finished knives, but I picked one up in black.
GLAD you posted this!
Nice! I'm surprised you were still able to find any in stock this long after they were discontinued!
