Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Sweet !

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is doing well, and having a good weekend. I'm afraid I'm still up to my neck in it here, but if I can snatch a few minutes later, I'll try to get caught up. My apologies for the disruption. At least I get to carry a knife today ;) Have a good one Guardians

When we first moved in to our new home, I saw these small " insects" jumping around the front door. I did not have my glasses on and proceeded to step on them. The next day, with glasses on, I discovered they were frogs about 1/4 inch long.
Needless to say they are welcome visitors now.

A trip to bonefish grill.View attachment 2910564

Did they have a chip butty on the menu? 😉😁

As you know the wife has her own Cafe, here's a little story for you. Entitled Saff!
last week on Monday Kristy had a small medical procedure and arranged for staff member let's call them D. To start at 6.30am on Tuesday Tuesday so Kristy could start later in case she was sore. Anyway Tuesday comes around, phone rings at 5.30am the sister in law that works for Kristy. D had texted the SIL to say having a sicky won't be in at all, so they were short staffed for the day. Kristy let D know that she had arranged for a fill in for the next shift but would require D to work Saturday as no others available. I should mention here Kristy only has Saturday off. Kristy phoned D on Friday afternoon to confirm right to work Saturday, all good. I said to Kristy I bet you a million dollars you will be working tomorrow.
Well 5.20am the phone goes off with text from D can't Work! still not well.
D rings Kristy on Sunday and will be right for Monday. Kristy said no shift covered and you will need to get a medical clearance, which D to their credit finally did.
It gets better.
As it is hard to get staff Kristy is always trying new staff. Get them to do an hour trial, to see what they can do and if it suits them.
This bloke came in last week is a chef apparently. So Kristy had him come in for a trial yesterday morning. About 20 minutes in Kristy asked him what he could cook, as they like to in house specials like lasagna, curries that type of things. His reply was that he has his own recipe book of things he can cook in his car and did Kristy want him to go get? Kristy said sure.
He went to go get it......... and never came back!

Kristy still hasn't paid me my million😁

I’m not sure who I envy less, people working in the service industry, or people who have to manage people working in the service industry. 😁

I haven’t been on much this past week while we were in Arkansas. We got back to Minnesota last night. I could’ve done a much better job taking pics, but here are a few.

We spent Monday at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO with my wife’s family. There were a lot of us, which made things a bit chaotic. (Julie has three siblings, all of whom have spouses and children — I think there were 18 of us altogether.) 😳 It was also hot that day, and while the park is pretty well shaded, we did a lot of walking, and I think I nearly drank my weight in water. 🤣 The girls had a good time. The water rides were their favorite (which made sense, given the weather).

The rest of the week was mostly spent hanging out with friends and family, and going places we miss from back home. This is my favorite restaurant in Fayetteville, AR.

My photo doesn’t do the food justice. Their burgers are great, and this one with bleu cheese is my favorite.

There’s a nice cigar shop/bar in Bentonville that my friend and I like to go to, so we spent a little time there one afternoon.

We stopped in at a nearby local brewery as well.

And the last day before we left town, I had to sneak in a lunch at Whataburger, just for the pic. 😁

That looks like a wonderful trip Barrett, thanks for the great pics  I must admit, I do occasionally order lunch on the basis of taking a pic! :D

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It's hot here, English hot, but still hot (getting up to 90f). Just about everyone uses Celsius here now, drives me mad, as I don't know what they are talking about! My new tower fan arrived in the week, and while I don't like the look of it, standing there in my living room, it is efficient. I'm going to be working most of the day, but I think I've got time to have a couple of hours round at Matt's after lunch ;) I would have actually liked another half hour in bed, but I got woken up by an ex girlfriend, who is ringing me far too frequently recently. She was blethering about how I need to take time for myself, etc, etc. I could have been asleep instead of listening to her, or 'taking some time for myself'! 😖 I'm slipping my Ebony '18 in my pocket today :) Hope you have a good one Guardians

Surely, a trip for everyone to enjoy Barrett.
Rhidian did a fine job on your lamb.👍🏻

blethering about how I need to take time for myself,
I wonder how she knows.

I opened the windows because it's 63 outside, but it's 97% humidity, so maybe I've made a terrible mistake! It's 77 inside, though.
Hex5Qsb.jpg

Yesterday I finally mowed the front lawn, though it wasn't legally necessary yet by a long shot (God bless clover). The kids across the street are having their Ice Cream Social tomorrow, and I don't want my yard to be an hissing and a reproach.
They've been here a while, because their elder child has been five and might be six or more by now, and the younger one is running around by herself. Not running around to bars and such, just independently locomoting around the yard. The elder one was born after they moved in.

I'll finish the back yard today, probably before church. It's going to be another stinker.
More rain is expected before the glorious Fourth, which I like to see before the fireworks.

"You'd think all that rain would have cooled things off, but all it did is make the heat wet."
