Ken Erickson Knives: A Retrospective

Actually, the box I got my 6 blade congress in from Ken today was wrapped in cord. I would post pictures, but Ken is going to post a WIP video, they will be on sale for 9.99. I was sworn to secrecy.

Notice the date. :p

Charlie, it's a strictly guarded secret which we're not quite sure should cross the border yet...best I can share...think Amish loomers on acid.:p:D
I'm glad someone around here gets my jokes!
Makes pretty good ones too!
:D

If it has Ken Erickson name on it, I am going to be watching, would not care if it was a fixed blade with cord wrapped handle.
Jim

Well, it's not cord wrapped, but this is an early one Ken made:

After Bill posted a pic of that fixed blade I thought I would post a picture of two VERY early slips I made:eek:. I know I love looking at other makers such as Tony Bose's early knives.

The top one is a carbon fiber and titanium frame shadow with O1 blade and spring.

The second is Green bone , O1 spring and blade

My Dad carries his daily and without fail when we get together I can ask to see it and he will produce it from his pocket. He also carries a little Buck lockback in his other pocket.

It's fun to look back on old stuff we've made, but I don't do it for very long :o:p

Kerry,

I know what you mean:thumbup:. Some ways its good to see your own progression, other ways it like, "what was I thinking".

Ken, and Kerry

I bet that you were thinking, "Well, I had better call KENT and see what I can do for him!" ;) :D Ha!

Friends, By the way... If you don't have a sense of humor..Your just up the creek without a paddle! :D

I guess I should get around to putting this knife in Ken's retrospective-I think it belongs;):Ken nailed this one!!!

I've said it before, but I think it bears repeating; it's difficult to imagine a nicer selection blades in one clean, shapely package. If I were lucky enough to own that beauty, the other knives in my EDC lineup would be looking at an early retirement.

this is a large congress ( case 88 pattern)-4 1/8 in closed, but it is slim enough, even with 2 springs, you don't realize there are 4 blades!!!

4-1/8? Now I like it even more :D
Thanks for the info and enjoy it! Do you carry it?
