Ken Erickson Knives: A Retrospective

Here is one just finished up(not available) for the Badger show in March. This one is a shadow 3 1/5 clip, slight recurve, blade and spring in CPM154. The stag came from John LLoyd.

Thanks guys!

I wanted to keep as much bark as possible and show off the stag.
Yes , spun pivot pins. I did not use as reinforcement birdseye because of the figure in the stag at that point. With spinning you can get a wobble free tight blade without peening.
It is common to see vintage Sheffield and German made knives, shadow and tip bolstered knives that utilize just a spun(or peened) pivot pin.

That stag sure looks good on that one, Ken. Nice presentation. Nice knife.

Ken. Outstanding work once again. Always amazed at your craftsmanship

Let's see now, if I pitch a tent in front of the Badger show the night before....I really like this one Ken:thumbup:

I really like that one Ken. I don't think I've ever seen a shadow with such a small pivot pin.

After sleeping on it all night I decided to go ahead and reinforce the pivot. Smaller than my normal shadows but think it was worth the effort.
