Lets talk GEC!

Yeah let's talk about knives. Rotating back to the Cocobolo for July. Always have a 2 blade 78 in my pocket. It's my favorite pattern by far.

Let's Talk GEC!

Winchester 3949 Sowbelly Stockman c.1989

So, why in the heck would I post a Winchester?

This knife, part of the Black Box series, was made for Blue Grass Cutlery by Queen Cutlery. Bill Howard, while at Queen, oversaw the production of these knives.

In other words, Bill Howard has experience in building a Sowbelly Stockman.

Will we see a GEC rendering of this awesome pattern in 2019? 2020?

Something else to look forward to! Hopefully sooner than later!

I would be all over it Al! :D

I would like to see a cattle knife on the 35 frame first but a sow belly would scratch that itch for a while.

Time for the Beer Belly to replace the Beer Scout!

Interesting Talks about the SowBelly - I wonder why they havent as yet? it must be such a hard one to do? But Al those Blackboxes were great Knives and the Sowbellies in that range were fantastic! I owned quite a few at one stage!

A 35 or another EE such as 68 with Spear long pull master and a small Pruner as secondary is my reverie  Better make it stainless too;) back to the -ism :D

Makes for a fine Cattle Knife for those who like them
