Meet The Force Mama V14 (FMV14). . . Coming Wednesday May 16, 2018 At 9:00 pm Eastern!!!!

Well it depends which state your in for starters.

Swords are no issue for me in NSW, same with bayonets. Daggers just need an import permit.

I believe Vic though has a no dagger policy, actually I think that also applies to swords too now that I think about it, unless you have a permit or exemption which I assume people asking whether they can have them don't have.

The Department of Home Affairs says: "Daggers are concealable knives with both edges sharpened or with a spike designed for stabbing. You aren't allowed to bring daggers into Australia."

For whatever that's worth.

Hey john, what are your thoughts on the nuke options here? Jerry seemed to imply theyllbe even more nuclear than the V8, which is hard to imagine.

I loved the V8 nuke options, especially the random crab shack scales.

So if she's 20.5" OAL with a 14.25" Blade, that leaves us 6.375" handle.
Not long enough for two of my hands, and with that skull crusher on the end, none too comfortable to grip in your palm either.
I'm thinking she'll be just fine for a one hander, I'm IN!!!:thumbsup:

This one will be a two hander for me, if I cave in and try for one. Is it me, or does this thing of beauty just scream to be thrust skyward while you bellow, "By the power of Grayskull...." ?

Kickin' up from an A-bomb to an H-bomb? I dunno. Someone suggested a longer version, but then it wouldn't be a FMV14, would it? Maybe full Satin with interesting handles? Or maybe the option to get handles matching the nuked FMV8 (for those who bought FMV8s)?

I'm looking forward to seeing what it is, but I'd be happy with the same nuke option as the FMV8.

Same here, id be happy with the original nuke option here too. The matching crabshack handles would be sick but i wouldnt think feasible, but who knows. Imhappy with the old nuke, anything else is gravy.

The part below that you left out is important;

Exceptions
If you have state/territory police approval on a B709B form. You may be required to get a state/territory licence.
Single edged fixed blades like kitchen knives are typically allowed.

Right, but there is no definition of concealable, or the difference between a dagger and a sword. Both can be double-edged and very pointy. At what length blade does it turn from a dagger (banned) to a sword (acceptable)? Is it a 12" blade? a 16" blade? According to other forums it seems it is undefined and up to Customs' discretion. It probably varies from customs officer to customs officer. So I could have it confiscated or it could come through no problem with no way of telling which. Dammit. o_O

I'm going to have to think on this one. The side-by-side has me ... ambivalent? Either the FMV8 grip is going to be too small (didn't it get shown next to a Team Gemini?), or the grip of the FMV14 is going to be a bit big, at least for me...

LOOKS beautiful. And I'd LOVE to have 14+inches of double-edged INFI... just going to have to think...

I think the Busse crew will have thought it through, and seeing them pictured together, I could see the FMV14 handle as being in the same size range as, say, the TG handle or an the ergo handle from a SHe2 or BMe2, to give a comfortable grip that won't get tiresome when swinging some weight around and hitting hard; while the slimmer grip on the FMV8 will likely feel like that of a smaller knife, say the MSe or Ratmandu, where the slimmer grip provides excellent and precise control of the blade but still feels just as right in the hand.

(I'm just using knives that I have to compare, there are probably better comparisons out there. Maybe I'm alone in how these knives feel or in the opinion that a smaller handle(to a limit) provides increased control. But I'm excited about both of these epic knives!)

And I agree whole-heartedly that they look beautiful, so there's really only one good way to find out if I'm right..

In New Zealand we have a customs prohibitive item list. For the FMV8’s I applied for an exception with the reason being I collect Busse knives(photos, worth etc). It went through my local arms officer and got approved by headquarters.

I’ve found this for Aussie, may be worth checking out
