I’m a new member. I’ll post here after being told to read the rules in another thread I posted in. Sorry about that. It wasn’t very easy to understand where to go as a newb on the forum and where not to post, but it was really nice of someone here to tell me to read more rules rather than to just say hey, post over in the community center and announce you’re a new member.
Anyway, hope everyone isn’t like that here or I won’t be staying long or paying for a membership.

Hello to all!
My name is Nikolay, age 30, from Bulgaria. I'm a hobbyist knifemaker since a teenager, but in the last 2-3 years, the passion reignited itself very strongly. Years ago, our bulgarian knife forum was a very nice and active hub, but eventually most of the makers kinda left...
I read here, mostly in the knifemakers discussion forums, soaking new know-how. Thank you for being active and providing a place to hang-out.
Otherwise, i do not have a heat treating oven, so for this step, i use the services of a local gentleman. My tendency for hoarding steel and handle materials is a hobby ot itself.
I dont know if this is appropriate, but here is some of my work from the last 2 years.

Hi Everyone,
Finally logged in and got my membership…long time stalker of the site and very inspired by the makers on here.
I started by rehab’ing old vintage knives and then started buying preprofiled blanks, and about 3 years ago started making them from scratch. Not forging yet…yet.
Eager to learn by posting and getting feedback, get inspired by the insane talent on here and maybe give an idea or two away as well.

Figured I'd say hello out of respect for the members. I read a lot on here, (the collection of knowledge on here is better than the public library) but I figure I may like to contribute every now and then when no-one else has said what I may be thinkin'. I'm pretty quiet so I probably won't butt in too often. Won't waste much more of anyone's time now. Y'all have a good one
