You have a good memory Jer, I struggle to remember where half my knives came from!My Utica Tungsten from Showcase Antiques in Little Falls NY. Must be seven years or so ago.

Publishers Clearing House stopped sending me emails a few days ago. Probably I've won a million dollars and disqualified myself from further games. Or they're tired of me not buying anything, not looking at their ads, and not clicking on anything under a million dollars.

Sorry for missing last week Jer, when I was out in the Yorkshire Wilds!Kingston jack. It isn't as old to me as it feels, but it's from back when I was antiquing on Saturdays. instead of working.

That is a nice one. Having an awl has probably saved a lot of blades from being broken.Carrying this forum knife today, which was gifted to me by Duncan @Campbellclanman . I've always liked this one![]()
I know the feeling buddy! This Waterville isn't actually terribly old to me, but with my memory it might as well be..

Thanks, the awl is as sharp as a needle! That is a nice one. Having an awl has probably saved a lot of blades from being broken.
Classic Dave!
That is very handsomeI don’t often think of this one for old friend Friday, but I’ve had it for about 16 or 17 years so I guess it might fall into that category. While not a duck hunter I really liked the color it was when I bought it and I think with age it’s just gotten better.View attachment 2839474
Nice piece of history there JerI've had this for not quite forty years.

MDNR has been reminding us how to deal with black bears in our yards in the Spring.

Gerber. 5/16" thick.
[But speaking of bears, have I mentioned that I found the perfect haft for my halberd, in my garage? (That's what you want for bears.)
The handle is maybe five feet long, with a well-fitted conical stout steel ferule, but no hole in the end. It must have been intended to have a shank just driven in. Some hockey tape around the ferule, and it's a perfect fit, making the halberd a few inches taller than me.]
Sweet Dave
