I've noticed at least in my life that sometimes you have to take a couple of steps back in order to move forward again. EVERYBODY gets burned out from time to time, but its the ones that deal with it, keep there heads up, and move on that have the good lives. Your a big tough dude. You'll be fine. Have a good weekend at the cabin, I know a lot of people, myself included would give just about anything to have a spot like that to regroup and get away from it all.

We're all adrift on a vast sea of uncertainty, regardless of what kinda boat we're in. Sometimes it's smooth sailing and clear skies, sometimes it's stormy as hell and absolutely terrifying, and most times it just seems pointless and boring.

The crew you're with can often mitigate all that stuff and help keep you grounded. ;)

Excellent! But damn, SWMBO has me all day Sunday for our 6 month anniversary. We'll be hiking down in Brown co, so don't feel sorry for me. It might also be time to discuss a sharp item for myself. It seems that I just buy your knives and give them away.

That'll be good for the soul. I have awful cabin fever stuck in my vinyl cave in the sky and it's not even winter yet. We did rent a garage and even though the complex frowns on it, I think I need a few tools down there to tinker on stuff. Maybe a simple kydex set-up. My Mt bike also needs a good once over.

We won't be going to the cabin for a few more weeks. Going actual camping next weekend, haha. Tipi tent and all. We're doing our annual camp. My problem more than anything right now is my job. You know what it's like to work at a place that sucks butt. I HATE my job. Thinking about making knives for some side money, see where it goes. Hell, the other night the wife and I were talking about selling all our belongings, and moving to the cabin. Small, but would be very cheap to live there.

Picked up a SOG Opcon hydration pack at smallfart today. I'm pretty impressed with it especially for 35 bucks. Will try it out this weekend.

For the record, it is properly "bated breath" (a contraction of "abated breath"), but does go well with the pirate theme...and will likely be added to the dictionary along with lots of other words (or usages) that shouldn't be there. :D
