The "Ask Jo (NinJO) Thread"

Would "cutlery" be too risky? I had sent some knives to either Canada or Belgium (can't remember which, and think I used "sporting goods" for the other one) and used that description and they went through. But that was many years ago.
 
It seems that the packages are getting scanned at the U.S outbound Customs where X-ray shows a knife and then the USPS / Custom agent doesn’t accept the item description. Having them returned from the outbound Customs is a lot safer for the package to be repatriated back to CPK than if it goes to the customer’s country where it can get flagged for confiscation instead of getting returned to sender.

I truly feel badly for our Aussie CPK brothers and also for David. This really sucks but it would hurt like a mother£€£%# if a CPK gets “lost”. I hope that you find a solution Jo but eventually some of our international folks may have to look into a US based third party shipper and then assume all the potential risks involved with going via that route :(
