It's grippier than unbuffed micarta. As for the color, look for the K18 pics. Those handles are OD TT, and yes, you can generally add extra scales to an order.

Grippier, softer, perhaps just a tiny tad of give. It absorbs shock better and it plays well with wet sweety hands etc.

Here's a photo of my youngest son's DEK1 with OD Green TT scales. He chose them for his knife.

It’s a little misleading - the olive and grey TT actually look closer in person than in the pictures.

Scales choices for the SDFK are:

Canvas micartas
Black
Natural
Double Black
Double Red and
OD Green

Linen micarta
Red and Black

Natural Burlap micarta

Gray TeroTuf
OD Green Terotuf

They do NOT have the undercut, but they do fit the HDFK and the HDFK sheath.

Really happy and content you have Burlap Micarta in there, Jo. In the absence of wood, Westinghouse or AECM, it's my favorite
