Lots of belts and lots of holsters lately. Some recents:

Special order, 1.25" width belt. 1.5" is our standard.

Love that buff leather.....👍👍👍

Here is what I’ve been up to. Left to right are the practice slips. Everything is either 6/7 or 8/9 veg tanned shoulder. Aside from the burnishing wheel, everything was done by hand. Getting a feel for the process and the tools (my half round knife is my favorite) has been fun.

The big sheath is the fifth thing I’ve worked on and just finished yesterday.
I was debating on whether or not to post this. I’m a bit embarrassed about some of the mistakes I made while working on this, but I keep reminding myself. It’s the first one. Getting the irons through all the layers was tough. Stitching was rough at first, but got much better halfway through. My eyes are terrible and I didn’t do enough to make sure my stitches were good in the beginning. I was pretty bummed to find out after it was too late that I skipped a hole here and there. At one point, after I pierced my thread (and after fixing that one of my needles came undone), I was ready to chuck the thing. But, in the long run, I prevailed and learned a lot. I’ve since ordered some different irons, bigger needles, and a few other tools to try out. The next one has been started. Thanks for all the great resources here, they are definitely helping me along!
