What are your favorite TV/movie scenes involving knives/other blades?

Gerber MK2. A global classic scene.

What movie was this in?

I really appreciate all the suggestions. Some really great scenes. I think the montage came out nice. What's your favorite clip?

My favorite - - Streets of Fire.
Michael Pare busts down a door and finds Diane Lane tied to a bed.
He whips out a butterfly knife & cuts her free. {{{sigh}}}Diane Lane...I'd watch an hour-long infomercial with her in it..

The Victors - 1963
George Hamilton at the end of the movie gets into it with a Russian soldier - over pretty much nothing but a petty squabble. It turns a bit ugly & Hamilton pulls out a switchblade & the Russian pulls out a fixed blade (bayonet maybe?). They end up killing each other.

Saving Private Ryan.
Disturbing is the only way I can put it - the scene where the Jewish guy slowly gets stabbed in the heart.
Meh - I hate that scene - but - it's a great scene - only in it's so powerful.

Yep. I reviewed the scene where Mellish was stabbed by the Nazi while saying "Give in, you have no other choice... make it easier for both of us. Shhhhh." Just too powerful, too hardcore to take out of context.

Check out the 1998 Japanese movie ‘Pornostar’ (AKA, ‘Tokyo Rampage’). It is NOT a movie about pornography. It’s a dark movie about a young psychopath who comes to town to kill Yakuza gangsters. He has an obsession with knives, and walks around carrying a bag full of them. The movie is filled with various ‘tactical’ folding knives from that era. A few of the name-brand knives I recognized throughout the movie are a Kershaw ‘Liner Action’, Kershaw ‘G-10/ATS-34’, Benchmade ‘Spike’ (possibly), Spyderco SS ‘Delica’ (possibly), etc. It’s been years since I’ve watched the entire movie, so I may be wrong on some. There is even at least one “raining knives” scene. There is a “kill count” video from the movie on YouTube, but I’m not posting it here, because the level of violence in one scene in particular might break forum rules.

13th Warrior

Not a movie, but it was filmed. Association of Renaissance Martial Arts requires people to test their skills to advance.

Chinatown.....
Jack Nicholson's character gets his right nostril slit open from the inside by Roman Polanski's character.
Gruesome and effective scene.

This and the end of "The Warriors" made me want to get a stiletto switch blade.
Swan was carrying that knife through the whole movie but doesn't bust it out until the end!

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid , the knife fight .

Why so serious? Heath Ledger's Joker is the only good villain DC has ever produced and he's carved a wicked smile or two with his Combat Troodon and Smith & Wesson Extractor 1600. MI 2 features one of my favorite 80's knife fights with a Kershaw 1006 Amphibian. Rambo also uses a boot dagger in First blood II and III to kill bad guys from a distance. Btw, Merry Christmas y'all!
