I’m going to give you some clues:

The CPK Shiv is an 8 inch killing instrument, whereas the abdominal ventilator advertised as the first ever Fun Friday Sale offering was described as having a 7-1/2” BL. Nathan had mentioned in that OP that it was resurrected by Mark and him during a Friday’s beer fest.

Does the loss of that approximate 1/2” off a Shiv, somehow and somewhere help you out with your question?

It's just that after poking a Shiv through a decent amount of stuff I feel like the point geometry is perfect...the tanto tip (while cool) seems like a step back The ease with which a stock Shiv will go through a steel drum is a little scary
