What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Duncan, wonderful Barlows but the checkered one from Evan is over the top. Quality checkering is not easy to do and that is very well done, beautiful Barlow.
 
Just an amazing, nicely photographed collection, Duncan!!
And that checkering is just plain killer! Evan has the touch!!!
