What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

TC question: I was looking at 2014 GEC production totals and I see some Genuine Barlows listed with the number 152114EC. Doesn’t EC stand for “end cap” in GEC’s coding? Can somebody straighten me out here? Thanks.

Wow that was is very cool! That dye job is awesome!My latest from Cases recent run of Barlows & maybe the nicest of the whole bunch. The fine saw cuts remind me of my old well used Case XX Barlows that I don't carry often for fear of losing them.
Here is my new Case Barlow, I really like it!
