    Nice 23!

Last winter and spring were unusually hard on bushes and shrubs, including the wild black raspberries, and even domestic blackberries. A lot of bushes died back above ground, but most survived if pruned hard. But around my place, we had no berries on our brambles!:(

665F9486-DEB8-43C4-B848-9183E72F4D6B.jpeg This old Imperial barlow was my Grandpa’s. Dirt cheap, shell construction, ugly imitation sawcut plastic scales, BUT- great snap and of course, razor sharp.
I could not abide those plastic scales, so replaced them with buffalo horn. I ran into a few problems due to the weird shell construction, so will re-do these one of these days. Or not... I sure do like the way the horn polishes up. Of course being a thrifty guy, the horn came from the dog chew aisle at the store. 345FB4AF-B793-4213-981E-185467C22C15.jpeg Impi Barlow and GEC Tidiute Cutlery #54 in honor of the porchsters at the Rendezvous on Tidiute Thursday.

    Snail  :)
Those imperfections don't detract from that knife; they're half the appeal!
Fun to see a few others from Jaromír too, great knives I figure.
Thanks for the response, and nice pictures.

Now, who do I know that's heading to Czechoslovakia? :p

A fine pairing. It's nice to see one of those office knives being carried. I was sorely tempted when they came out, but couldn't justify the purchase, since I already have a 2013 forum knife on the same #13 frame with a similar blade combo. It's neat that GEC decided to make them with the lettering; it's an old style you don't see made any more.:thumbsup:

Today, it's new and worn bone:

I know. The Congress pattern, and this one especially just fascinated me. I looked for a long while for this one. It recalls a type of knife that was common in the mid and late nineteenth century. Even though I am attracted to knives as users, there is no reason to not have ones that make me happy.

Reminds me of the RamsFoot. It would be sweet if GEC would do a two blade RF in the future
