What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Looks good, Ed! Enjoy!

Here's an east coast recliner view as I settle in for some TV......

I'm 🎻 fiddling with my new Ironwood Boker.

Great view Gary. Nice and green. We are starting to turn brown. Great Boker.

I'm carrying this hideous pair: Smooth White bone over brass liners. 😦 The horror!
Obviously, a verdigris explosion is imminent!

Such a nice combo!

This just came in yesterday all the way from Germany. She’s in my pocket today helping me with the yardwork.

This is a small world. I just got mine in today. I'll be carrying and posting it tomorrow!

Very cool! I ordered two direct from Otter Messer - one with the grenadil (African Blackwood) covers and one with the smoked oak. I didn’t know which one I would like more.

I kept the grenadil and sold the other.
The smoked oak model just came in a plastic sleeve, but they really package the grenadil model nicely:

Yes mine was packaged very nice. The grenadil really pops in the sunlight and I love the brass pins. I am really looking forward to it. Also the wood is much smoother than I expected.

Just thought I'd throw in a picture of the view from my recliner while I'm doing absolutely nothing as I'm relaxing watching "Midsomer Murders" and coon fingering my Ram Foot. The old satellite antenna in the lower right corner of the picture is a relic of the past and not used anymore.

Danged nice backdrop for doing a lot of nothing, Ed! And a good knife to fiddle with to boot.
Out of the mail and into the pocket. Currently bonding.

Note that the pivot pin says F&F. That’s your reminder that it’s not supposed to be a safe queen.

I’m admiring that pretty spalted wood backdrop.
I think it would make a nice top on a telecaster...

Tote'd Mr. Curly Maple with a teardrop to the post office
Case had sent a prepaid mailer and it arrived today
- Cover lifted pile side at blade bolster and can see daylight between cover and liner
- Blade so far off center not sure how it hasn't gotten into the blade well liner wall
If any-a-y'all work at Case, hook me up like Flint !!! Thanks :)

Being consoled this getting late night already, by a perfectly (well almost perfectly) good CV Chestnut Jig Bone TB61028W Teardrop Jack

Thanks a lot, Jack!!! I really enjoy the scout pattern :)

Awesome and beefy IXL Marlin Spike/Guide Knife to team up with your Hartshead; certainly as handy on land as on the sea! 😁:thumbsup:
Thanks JJ, it's interesting to see just how many old Sheffield knives carried marlin spikes, from the huge Admiralty Pattern 301 to that diminutive Girl Guide Knife
Grabbed these two for my mad Monday; a Robeson English Jack and a GEC Bull Buster. :)
Another fine pair there JJ :)
Cool for cats Gary

Pairing my Hartshead Barlow with a Random Tuesday Higonakami

Got an envelope via US Mail yesterday from JohnDF. I’m now a proud owner of one of his slips. Really, pocket sheath, or pocket holster may be more accurate. And he didn’t send it empty!
This Boker Jack was in it...C50DF68D-99AE-4834-9815-F26627686448.jpegSweet, sweet knife. The sound it makes snapping open from half stop, and closing from half stop is pure music.

Being trapper Tuesday, the big Case is riding snug in the sheath. The Boker will get the dirty work because as John said, “they made them good back then.”
Thank you, JohnDF!

And although no one asked, yesterday I DID complete the designated pruning task with the slim scalpel Vic hawkbill florist~ removing the lower branches and the suckers from a row of tomatoes.
Enjoy your day!
