Zero Tolerance Current/Upcoming/Discontinued Models

I still want ZT to make an exact copy of the waved Emerson CQC8 but in 20CV. I know it will never happen but I can dream.

For me, it would be a framelock version of the Specwar or SOCFK-A.

Or they could re-release the 0392 original version... back then most of the people who snagged them were neckbeards flipping them for gain.

At 6.9oz and 8.9" overall, you could get the AD-10 that's arguably stronger for the same weight but almost half the price(sometimes even lower, around $108-130). You can also get the AD-15 for the same advantage of additional strength and fidget factor for 1/2 the price.
The extra premium ZT has is the 20CV steel and a chunk of titanium i guess. For the knife's intended purpose, it probably makes more sense to go with the above option with washers instead of KVT ball bearings.
Not here to bash ZT, this is a sweet design, just trying to put this in context here.

I agree. Both the AD10 and AD15 undoubtedly have stronger locking mechanisms, and in my experience S35VN is tougher/less chippy than 20CV. And they are significantly cheaper. Obviously part of the appeal with the ZT is pride in ownership and quality. Ti is cool, as is 20CV. Good to have lots of options out there.

At $300 MAP, the 0308 is a bit pricey compared to other older ZTs that you can still buy (including but not limited to the 0200, 0300, 0550 and 0560). The tan handle also turns me off and would rather not have to rit dye it black. So, I'll wait to see if they come out w/a black G10 or CF version that would be more appealing to me b4 I consider buying it.

The ZT 5150 Lucha is on my "to buy" list as a cheap bali to add to my small bali collection and the Kershaw Tumbler looks like a possible buy for me as well.

It's not a ZT 5150 Lucha but a Kershaw Lucha 5150.

The ZT 0308 is actually priced well at $300.00 for 20CV considering the old 0300 was $275.00 for S30V.

I hope ZT makes more variations of the 0308. For instance, black G-10, blackwashed version like 0300BW and all titanium version with no G-10.

If you can afford to wait for a year, ZT may do a no MAP holiday discount like last year, and you can get most of the new models with very affordable price. The ZT0562TI and 0393GLCF was going for as low as $180. That's more than 35% discount. I also saw Emerson 0640 for $161. The big retailers may not give steep discount, the smaller ones usually have good price. Just type in the model number and click through the first 2 pages of google search result of the reputable online retailer during holiday and you can always find great price.

ZT 0308 (at dealers now) is exactly what people think of as beefy ZT folders and an enhacement on the old 0300 series. For an extra $28 at MAP pricing you get 20CV instead of S30V and KVT instead of SpeedSafe in a slimmer and lighter (1.1 ounces lighter) profile with thinner blade stock.

Hope to see other variations with Black G-10, Blackwashed, All Black, and All Titanium.
