^^^ Thank you for this alert. I jumped on this since the first guy seems to have backed out but the seller signed out too! 5 posts in total since 2005! Hmmm???!!!

No problem, hope it all works out for you. It is interesting though that only 5 posts since 2005. Probably why he's selling it so cheap. Maybe he doesn't know what they've been selling for. That's of course until Charlie mentioned $300 on the thread..lol. Good luck brother and hope you get that nice 7/7 :)

TBT, that sales thread is becoming a bit rancid with the type of extra comments some people tend to make to clog up sales thread with the sort of comments which are not really related to WTS decorum and ToS.

I sent the seller a PM and will give him the benefit of the doubt that he's a genuine seller. Of course, I will not send one single $1 unless it is a PayPal G&S type of deal once I hear back from the seller with price confirmation. If he should decide to change his mind, I don't mind either. Life is too short to stress out over a knife, albeit an excellent deal on paper ;)

That was/is a crazy deal... I would have jumped on it in a hot second but it's already up to thirds!! Haha. Hopefully it'll just make somebody's Sunday excellent!!
 
We shall see. The seller has ghosted so far but maybe he's a ghost-like poster. 5 posts since 2005, I'll expect him back to check his WTS thread circa 2019 :D
 
So many surprises tonight! Surprisingly great deal on that knife! Very interesting selling situation. I hope the whole thing works out smoothly! So, Casino is back to buying GSOs?!?! I'm thinking he was lured in by the mention of a thong and was compelled to buy when he saw it was part of the deal.

But truthfully, I'm about to bow out of that "deal". That's not a kosher way of trying to sell something and then immediately running off the site! In such cases, best to stick to the old adage, "if it's too good to be true, the thong must belong to Grog"!

OK, frag it! I went ahead and withdrew as something ain't sitting right with me, so if anyone else wants it, please do not let me stop Ya :)

Now to Silver's Q: I currently do not have a "camp" type knife. I have a few CPKs: LC / FK / 3 x EDCs in different steels (one on hold for Grog, unless he says Nay) I am very eager for that new CPK not-to-be-named-surviaval-knife, but gawd only knows when and if I should land one with that crazy demand being whipped up over it. So, in the meantime if I come across a similarly sized GSO which 7/7 fits the billing, at a reasonable price, then I'll be all over it like fly on honey ;)

Hahaha! Classic adage. If the thong were leopard print and not just green I'm sure I'd be typing "I'll take it" right now.

Too bad the situation wasn't more reassuring. I would have liked to see you get the knife. I thought it was odd that the seller posted a link to the page for the new spec 7/7. I could see that creating confusion for a potential customer.

Trust your instincts!
 
So Casino, did you end up with that 7/7 or did it go to the next guy? seller did re-appear and the knife is now sold...
 
Hey Chiral, no I never heard from him so I backed out. I did check back and seems he sold it to someone, but I don't know to whom. He seemed legit after all said and done so someone else seems to have gotten a very good deal, but that wasn't me.
