2019 GEC 29 Humpback/Stockyard Whittler Thread

I ordered the apaloosa bone one I do not like you don't get to pick out your individual knife like some of the dealers though as the apaloosa bone can vary so much between knives. Thinking about getting one in the ebony as well. I don't much care for the autumn jig bone or whatever the other one is.

The M&G's look great, I like having those with 3 blades and the option of the GEC with a punch.
 
I agree, the M&G's do look great, I'm already way over on the knife budget this month but I'm thinking about it especially with Texas Ranger etch.
Did you all check out the 1938 ad when going through the site pics, those prices would be great today and what a bargain for 3
 
I find all 3 of these very attractive but ponied up for the smooth bone. If the action is dialed in on these to my liking, the ebony will be sure to follow.
 
More 29’s are finishing up. The Northfield Bloodwood version still isn’t on the schedule, but obviously it is coming.

Don't let anyone tell you a punch/awl isn't useful!

We have some fancy salt that I got my wife for her birthday that doesn't have any anti-caking agents, and I used my #29 to pick at the salt and break it up for sprinkling on dinner tonight.

That bloodwood is looking better and better. Im torn between that and the snakewood.
I can't tell if the coffeehouse acrylic has depth to it...I'm intrigued though.

Yes now that I am looking at them on my computer screen I can definitely see that. In fact, looks like a LOT of depth...there are shadows from the shield and pins. My level of intrigue has increased significantly :)
