Any Honk Falls Collectors?

In June 1919 Winchester purchased the Napanoch Knife Co. and the Eagle Knife Co. in New Haven CT. John Cushner travelled to New Haven for a brief time and by the fall of 1920 was back in Napanoch. In January 1921 John Cushner, Melvin Schoonmaker, Melvin Quick and George Brackley began the Honk Falls knife Co. in the old Napanoch building. 512EE7D4-E586-49B9-A5A8-9DFFA9CCCD5B.jpegIn 1922 Winchester merged with the Simmons Hardware Co. Years earlier Simmons had gained a controlling interest of the Walden Knife co. buy purchasing the stock of George Weller when he retired. After the merger knife making continued in a small way at the Walden plant until 1927. This auction booklet belonged to John Cushner and three small X’s indicate what he was after. The way they counted parts was by weight, hence the need for the scales. Soon after knives were being made in a converted barn on John Cushner’s property. In December 1938 Mr Cushner waskilled in an accident. On a rainy Saturday night he left his house on a bicycle. Traveling the opposit way on 209 18 year old Sam Warush and his younger brother struck and killed him. Sam was arraigned before the magistrate, Melvin Schoonmaker. in 1920 a fire at on of WR Case Bradford facilities effected production. I’ve been told at this tim Honk Falls and Schatt and Morgan stepped in to supplement production. This would explain how the HF name would later be Revived.

James, absolute great reading, thank you very much for taking the time to educate us all as well as share your stunning knives!
Never cringe at a past deal my friend - you would always be saying to yourself if you didn’t do the deal “I wish so grabbed that…. “

Thanks guys. Tyson I will get the measurement on the blade. Looks about 2 1/4 from the pic. Each box is a 1/4”. What is the proper way to measure the blade??

Here's the standard approach. But just knowing that it's about 2 1/4 inches is enough - it's hard to tell with these swell-center hunters how big they are. I would have guessed it was more like 4 inches, so thanks!
