That looks like it turned out pretty decent! I was worried there for a bit that you might be overengineering it, but I think you took the right approach in the end. I think you were right to simplify it a bit and focus more on breaching and utility than combat...although you still managed to make it combat ready should the need arise. Truly nice work.

On a side note, does the airforce say Hooah Frank? I was under the impression that that belonged to us Army soldiers....(It sounds kinda stupid even when we say it though....No offense towards you intended...Just think Hooah's a stupid sounding word.)

MJF,It has turned out alright.:DWhen I started this thread,I didn't expect so many different approaches.I just simplified it to be more practical in use & manufacture.;)

Finishing sanding on bevels.
The spike has a profile like a jambiya. Not sharpened,Strickly to penetrate.
Head edge I have sanded to a hollow.
I'll take better pics next time.

Rick, that looks like one mean beast! Unfortunately, the package that I sent was returned... ( I hate using stamps!!)

It will be back on the way to you on Monday, sorry for the delay, but I will throw one or two extra items in to make up for the delay!

Frank B

Frank,Balance is good.:DI need to weigh it.

No problem on the molle vest,I should have the sheath finished when the vest arrives.

Sweet piece of work. I'd want to see it a little bigger, myself, but definitely a nice design.

Success on the second try!Scabbard was tricky to mold,I riveted together first.Shoved the blade in as far as I could without breaking the rivets out.Gently heated the area with my heat gun.Turned out pretty good.
Need to find quick release buckle,May have to make the strap special length.Checking into that right now.

Mike.Thanks Bro.:D
Just need to attach 1/2" side release buckle strap assembly,She'll be done enough to send the blade to ht.

On a side note, does the airforce say Hooah Frank?

Yup! Since Security Forces came out of the Army MP program, we still have alot in common with the 11B's and 11A's as far as how things are run, etc.

Frank B.

Rick did that package get there yet??
