CPK EDC2

Hey I just wanted to give a big thanks to Nathan and CPK ...

last week I posted that I was having an issue with a small spot on the edge of one of my EDC2s ... I thought I was getting the burr off but after a few times in and out of the sheath it was shiney again ...

I asked if anyone had any suggestions for me as I am relatively new to sharpening 3V ... Nathan went above and asked me to send the knife so he could look at it ...

well he looked at it explained what the issue probably was so I would know if I ever had that issue again ... but he also sharpened the knife ... fixed that area ... reimbursed shipping costs ... and sent me a nice CPK tshirt and a CPK mug ...

which I will get some pictures when I get home later this week ... was great to see they not only make a great product but the take time to interact here on the forums and I couldn't ask for more from anyone's customer service ...

Thanks Nathan and all of CPK ... JJ

Pretty Damn good Customer Service Indeed:thumbsup: Congrats

Lol Casino ... next time Justin goes Bruce Banner I'm sending him after all your CPKs ! ... you have to bring enough for the whole class ...

So my dad used the EDC2 with antique handles I gave him to cut up sheets of roots. So he could remove them from his septic tank. The in and out holes on his tank were plugged with roots and the entire inside of the tank was coated with the roots. He cut them into sheets with this beautiful EDC2 I gave him. Huge sheets of roots and septic tank “soil”. Afterwards he SOAKED the knife in BLEACH and detergent.

What were the results?

It's obvious it cut like a champ, but the Bleach & Detergent one-two combo might do a number on D3V. The only thing that I ever got to discolor a VG10 Spyderco Caly Jr was some Clorox brand bathroom cleaner...it was mainly surface spotting but I got it rinsed pretty quickly.

Yeah I was asking him for a picture of the knife and he’s been sending me all these progress pictures of another knife. Apparently he detergent/bleached his regulator but not the edc since he didn’t actually “stab poop” with it. He said he just washed it with soap and it’s exactly the same as it was. Live updates.

although I can't say with honesty that I designed this knife for this particular use, it's designed precisely for applications such as this:thumbsup:

I got the email from Jo this morning!!! Damn, I'm excited. Even after 6 months, I am still pumped for this blade. Looking at all of these pictures and comments has really helped with the wait...

Looks like you're the 14th entry on the 4th page of that preorder and although I did not count the number of EDC2s ordered ahead of yours, looks to me that quite a few on that page will be receiving their preordered EDC2s in the next few days.

I'm sure that Mrs. Jo will be updating when she gets a few minutes and congrats to all the soon-to-be recipients

Zombie in the house! I used to have a EDC riding piggyback on my day pack. I love it for this role. The EDC2 is now securely lashed on. Perfect fit!

This is a 5.11 shoulder/sling pack that easily translates from back to front to access an internal pistol sleeve. The knife is situated so it comes up immediately cross-draw in the same way.
