Hawk and Knife Combos...

Here's two pairs. Neither are showpieces but here goes. The first pair is only noteworthy in that I made them myself from free materials. Stock removal on an old axe blade hawk and a "woodstove forged" old file knife. The hawk is only so shiny because I worked a a granite counter-top company when I made it and had free use of the wet polisher after work. Cold blue after polishing. Both handles made from a mahogany shipping pallet.

The second pair is what I actually carry into the woods.

I keep these under my bed.

Beautiful. I gotta ask just because of the texture of the hawk bit, was that forged from an old rasp?

Here is a set I will be gifting to a soldier on Monday. My Peregrine and BDU belt knife models.

Here's a few shots of one of my favorite hawk/knife combos. My "new school" RMJ Shrike, and my "old school" Ka-Bar (WWII dated, I believe).

This combo gets real field time together.

Tnev123 I'm guessing that combo of yours doesn't live in a safe either judging by the finish wear on that Shrike

Nope she gets put to work, helped me rip apart a old shed couple weeks ago also comes camping

A set in Osage.
