Thanks for showing this picture here Ron !!!
Just paid for mine or Nancy's :):) also !!!
Now we just have to wait . This one is indeed going to be a very special knife .

I'm pretty excited about the smooth bone #14 barlow. The end (or "head?") of the handle is relatively "squared off." All too often we see smooth bone being rounded off, but I really do love the more squared treatment. I hope I can land one.

I was rather surprised to start my day with the opportunity to pay for Lyle's wonderful SFO. This will make the 4th #14 from this run for me and unless I have my standby reserve convert for a TC, it will tie the #78s as the most I have acquired from a single run. I usually limit myself to 1, 2 at the most.

This one is going to be special, and though I really like my Stag, Lyle's is going to steal the spotlight.

I wasn't going to buy any more #14s from this run, I was happy having two of the single blades.

But then I wanted to try the two blade version and I ended up liking it pretty well. So, then I was happy with three from this run.

I really wasn't interested in a stag version, I'm not as big of a fan of stag as many of you are. I looked at them as they popped up but nothing really moved me to buy one. It just seemed like such a small knife to put heavily textured stag on it. That was until I saw this one.

This one had unusual stag in that it was pretty plain and smooth but had these really cool scars in it. Something about it just fit the little knife so well and really spoke to me. Not to mention the price had been reduced because everybody was passing it over, seems everybody was buying up the gnarly stuff and wasn't interested in this one. Lucky me!!!

In the Cowboy World we have a saying; When buying a dog, always pick the runt of the litter. They have to be tough to survive, fighting for milk against all the bigger dogs. If they survive, that's the one you want. This knife reminded me of the runt of the litter. :D

BCEA0BE2-BDFB-42AE-9464-CC33A125CDCB.jpeg I had a Dr’s appointment, dinner this evening. Start shipping tomorrow. I hope I can get them shipped the next couple days. Sorry I’m still catching up to the internet.

Here’s a little something to tide you over. I haven’t really examined them, but I love their classic look.

I haven’t had time to answer your emails.

Thanks to everybody again, especially Bill Howard and Charlie C.

I really like it, John! I would make it a user for sure, it's perfect because it's not perfect. :p:thumbsup:

Quick pics for now...but came home to a wonderful gift today. I am blessed to be a part of the knife community.
